Orbit Autofill for Chrome

Applying for jobs means typing your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn URL and the same three "tell us about yourself" answers into form after form after form. Orbit Autofill ends that. Save your details once, and fill any application form in one click — then log the job and send it straight into your Orbit pipeline so nothing slips through the cracks.

Set up in two minutes

1

Install the extension

Open the Chrome Web Store listing with the Add to Chrome button above and confirm the install. It takes a few seconds and needs no account. Once installed, pin it from the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar so it is one click away on every application form.

2

Save your profile

Click the Orbit Autofill icon, then the gear (⚙). Fill in your name, contact details, links, and your standard answers — salary expectation, notice period, work authorization, and a short default cover note. Hit Save. This lives only in your browser.

3

Apply faster

On any application form, open the popup and hit Autofill this application. Matching empty fields fill instantly; review, tweak anything company-specific, and submit. Then click Detect & log so the job is recorded.

4

Track everything in Orbit

When you're ready, hit Send all to Orbit tracker. A joborbit.online tab opens and every logged application appears on your board — with follow-up reminders, interview scheduling and insights from there on.

Privacy, in one paragraph

Your profile and application log are stored with Chrome's local extension storage on your device. The extension makes no network requests, has no analytics, no account, and no server — the only time data moves anywhere is when you click "Send to Orbit," which hands your logged list to the tracker page in your own browser. The extension asks for just three permissions: storage (save your profile locally), activeTab and scripting (fill and read the page you're on, only when you click). Full details in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is Orbit Autofill free?

Yes. Completely free, like the Orbit tracker itself. No premium tier, no trial, no account.

Where is my profile data stored?

Locally, in your browser's extension storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and the extension makes no network requests of its own.

Does it work on every job site?

Autofill matches fields by their labels, placeholders and names, which covers most career sites and applicant tracking systems. Heavily customized or multi-step forms may only fill partially — always review before submitting.

Can I use the extension without the Orbit tracker?

Yes. Autofill and logging work entirely on their own. "Send to Orbit" is optional — it just opens joborbit.online and imports your list into the free tracker.
