These terms are the agreement between you and Amcon Ceylon covering your use of joborbit.online, the Orbit tracker, and the Orbit Autofill extension. By using any of them you accept these terms. We have kept the language readable on purpose.
Orbit is a free, browser-based tool for organising a job search. It is provided by Amcon Ceylon, a digital product studio in Colombo, Sri Lanka. There is no subscription, no account, and no paid tier. The site is funded by advertising and by promoting the studio's own services.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Orbit and the Orbit Autofill extension for your own job search or general organisation. You may use it for commercial purposes in the sense of finding work; you may not resell it, rebrand it, or offer it as your own service.
Everything you enter is stored in your browser, not on our servers. That is a privacy benefit and a durability risk, and you should understand both. We do not hold a backup of your board. If you clear your browser data, switch devices, use a private window, or your device fails, that data is gone and we cannot recover it. Export a JSON backup regularly. By using Orbit you accept that data loss under these circumstances is not something we can remedy.
Orbit Autofill fills form fields by matching labels and field names to your saved profile. Application forms vary wildly, and heuristics are imperfect: a field may be filled with the wrong value, filled partially, or missed entirely. You are responsible for reviewing every application before you submit it. We are not liable for an application submitted with incorrect, incomplete, or misplaced information, or for any consequence of such a submission.
The articles on this site describe general practices in job searching, interviewing, and offer negotiation. They are informational, based on widely-accepted professional practice, and are not legal, financial, immigration, or career advice specific to your circumstances. Employment law and hiring norms vary by country and industry. See our disclaimer for the full statement.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense and house banners for Amcon Ceylon and related services. We do not control the content of third-party ads and do not endorse the advertisers. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; visiting them puts you under their terms and privacy policies.
Orbit is provided as-is and as-available. We may change features, redesign pages, or discontinue the service entirely without notice. Because the app runs locally, an outage of this website does not delete your data — but it may make the app temporarily unreachable. We make no uptime guarantee.
The Orbit name, the site design, its written guides, code, and graphics belong to Amcon Ceylon and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages from our articles with attribution and a link. You may not republish articles in full, in any language, without written permission. The data you enter remains entirely yours; we claim no rights over it and could not access it if we tried.
Orbit is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amcon Ceylon is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, the tracker, or the extension — including lost data, missed applications, missed deadlines, lost job opportunities, or lost income. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which is zero.
You agree to hold Amcon Ceylon harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a revision means you accept it. If a change is material, we will flag it on the homepage.
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing here removes consumer rights that apply to you mandatorily under the law of your own country of residence. Questions about these terms: see our contact page.
